Dulce Amazonica

The Amazonian Cultural Embassy, in Guatapé

The Embassy of the Colombian Amazon

Where Amazonian Indigenous People Find Visibility in Guatapé.

Dulce Amazónica is not a souvenir shop — it is an actual living Embassy of the Colombian Amazon, a place where Indigenous ambassadors from 18 hidden communities represent their communities and bring their artisanal goods, plant medicines, ancestral wisdom, and living stories into visibility. In the heart of Guatapé, this Embassy becomes the overstory — the canopy where voices long hidden beneath the forest rise with dignity, presence, and light.

Here, visitors don’t just pass through — they sit, converse, and learn directly from the guardians of the Amazon while tasting its pure essence. More than 25 wild fruits, hand-harvested in remote territories, are transformed into nourishing non-dairy ice creams and native desserts — free of industrial additives, and rich with cultural meaning.

Backed by Mountain Bike Colombia and Casa de Ciclistas, Dulce Amazónica opens a path to experience the real Amazon beyond agency driven mass-tourism centers like Leticia. Here, travelers engage ethically, respectfully, and regeneratively — not as detached visitors, but as conscious participants in a greater journey of cultural exchange and sustainable change. Every visit strengthens Indigenous empowerment through direct, fair trade — no intermediaries, only genuine connection.

A truly a meaningful experience not to be missed — be part of something that protects, empowers, and awakens.

Inside the Colombian Amazon Embassy

🌿 Plant Medicines & Sacred Fruits

Discover the deeper purpose behind the Amazon’s most powerful fruits and plants. Here, fruits like camu camu, moriche, aguaje, guayusa, and coca are not just ingredients — they are revered as sacred medicines, passed down through generations to heal, nourish, and protect. Indigenous communities have long used these plants for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, with coca also playing a vital role in enhancing energy, focus, and offering medicinal benefits. Each fruit and plant carries stories, rituals, and ancestral knowledge, inviting you to reconnect with food not merely as a product, but as a path to wholeness and balance.

Understanding Indigenous Wisdom

Understand how Indigenous wisdom (which is very different than what “civilized nations” call wisdom) weaves together nature, spirit, and time into a unified way of living. Their wisdom teaches us that the Amazon is not some resource to exploit and extract fleeting riches from — it’s is a living relative. Every plant, animal, and element carries meaning and purpose, shaped by generations of observation, ceremony, and storytelling. Learn how these deep connections guide decisions, sustain communities, and have preserved balance across generations — these are powerful lessons for how we might live more consciously and respectfully today.

Exploring The Colombian Amazon with Mountain Bike Colombia

Mountain Bike Colombia invites you on a restorative, responsible, and humanitarian multi-day journey into the Colombian Amazon. You don’t need to be a hardcore cyclist—just open to learning from the forest and its people. More then sightseeing tours; these are humanitarian, regenerative expeditions co-created with Indigenous partners. You’ll ride remote ancestral trails while contributing to community-led priorities—food security, fair-trade livelihoods, guide training, and trail stewardship. Each journey strengthens Indigenous sovereignty, channels revenue directly to local families, protects biodiversity and threatened lands, and amplifies local voices. More than a ride, it’s a mission of reciprocity that leaves you with purpose, perspective, and genuine connection.

Tribal Symbolism & Facial Painting

Every line and dot has meaning — nothing is decorative by chance. These ancestral designs are visual languages passed down through generations, each symbol carrying spiritual, cultural, and ecological significance. Discover how these patterns serve not only as artistic expression but as protective elements, worn on the body, etched into tools, or painted on homes to guard against harm, attract good energy, and maintain harmony with the natural world. Through these designs, stories are told, identities are preserved, and the sacred bond between people and the land is continually renewed.

Storytelling & Ancestral Connection

Step into a space where words are more than stories — they are spiritual pathways connecting the past, present, and future. At Dulce Amazónica, you’re invited to sit with Indigenous ambassadors as they share oral histories passed down through generations — stories of survival, healing, harmony, and the sacred rhythms of the jungle.

Ethical Amazon Adventures

There’s so much to learn from our visiting Indigenous community ambassadors — not just about where and how to visit the Amazon respectfully, but about the deeper meanings behind the land, its cultures, and its struggles. These authentic, first-hand encounters offer powerful opportunities for greater understanding and connection, far beyond what mass tourism destinations like Leticia and Manous can offer. Go beyond the surface with meaningful, guided experiences led by those who call the Amazon home.
