About Dulce Amazonica

Dulce Amazónica, Embassy of the Colombian Amazon

Dulce Amazónica is not an ice cream shop, nor is it a tourist shop selling imported trinkets—it is the official Embassy of the Colombian Amazon, a living cultural bridge where Indigenous ambassadors practice cultural diplomacy, representing their communities and selling their communities' artisanal goods, directly without intermediaries and with dignity in the heart of Guatapé.  It is a place to sit, share something sweet, and engage in real conversation with people who carry ancestral knowledge, offering visitors the chance to understand living traditions while tasting wild Amazonian fruits hand-harvested from the forest and transformed into authentic ice creams and desserts.

Stories from the Amazon

Our blog is dedicated to raising global awareness about the realities in the Amazon and the communities who call it home. Through stories, reflections, and firsthand accounts, we hope to elevate conversations and consciousness around the challenges we all face — from cultural erosion to extractive pressures — while also highlighting pathways toward restorative solutions. Each article is an invitation to think deeply, engage meaningfully, and join us in finding ways to protect the Amazon and strengthen the sovereignty of its guardians.
