Dulce Amazonica
The Amazonian Cultural Embassy, in Guatapé
The Embassy of the Colombian Amazon
Where Amazonian Indigenous People Find Visibility in Guatapé.
Dulce Amazónica is not a souvenir shop — it is an actual living Embassy of the Colombian Amazon, a place where Indigenous ambassadors from 18 hidden communities represent their communities and bring their artisanal goods, plant medicines, ancestral wisdom, and living stories into visibility. In the heart of Guatapé, this Embassy becomes the overstory — the canopy where voices long hidden beneath the forest rise with dignity, presence, and light.
Here, visitors don’t just pass through — they sit, converse, and learn directly from the guardians of the Amazon while tasting its pure essence. More than 25 wild fruits, hand-harvested in remote territories, are transformed into nourishing non-dairy ice creams and native desserts — free of industrial additives, and rich with cultural meaning.
Backed by Mountain Bike Colombia and Casa de Ciclistas, Dulce Amazónica opens a path to experience the real Amazon beyond agency-driven mass-tourism centers like Leticia. Here, travelers engage ethically, respectfully, and regeneratively — not as detached visitors, but as conscious participants in a greater journey of cultural exchange and sustainable change. Every visit strengthens Indigenous empowerment through direct, fair trade — no intermediaries, only genuine connection.
A truly meaningful experience not to be missed — be part of something that protects, empowers, and awakens.
