Indigenous Arts & Crafts

Handmade by the communities. Brought here each month by the rotating ambassador. Sold at full price, directly.

Artesanías from the Colombian Amazon

Each month, the rotating ambassador arrives carrying artesanías made by their community. These are not mass-produced. They are handmade using techniques specific to that community — passed down through generations, tied to specific plants, animals, and ancestral knowledge from their territory.

What is available changes every month. Each ambassador brings what their community made. No two months are identical.

Fair Trade, Direct Payment

When you purchase an artesanía, the full price goes directly to the ambassador. There are no middlemen, no commissions withheld. The ambassador carries the payment back to their community.

This is the core of how Dulce Amazónica operates: each transaction is a direct economic link between the buyer and the community. You are not donating. You are buying something made by someone who made it specifically to sell here, on their own terms, at a price they set.

The artesanías are available in the shop at Dulce Amazónica in Guatapé. Some pieces are also available online through our partner platform, Origen Amazónica.
