Roberto
Roberto comes from the Wacara community of the Colombian Amazon. He arrived at Dulce Amazónica carrying his people's knowledge of river and forest: the foods, the crafts, and the ways of living the Wacara have kept across generations.
In Guatapé, Roberto shares that world directly. Every ingredient he works with and every piece he brings from home traces back to a specific place and a specific practice. Nothing is decoration. It is a working culture, presented by someone who knows it from the inside and can tell you exactly where each thing comes from.
That relationship runs both ways. Roberto takes the resources the Embassy provides to the Wacara and puts them to work at home, using them to help feed his community, so what happens in Guatapé reaches the people he represents.
Community: Wacara

The Wacara Community
The Wacara are an Indigenous community of the Colombian Amazon with a deep relationship to the river and forest ecosystems that shape life in the region. Their knowledge of plants, foods, and craft is passed person to person, generation to generation, not written down but lived. Roberto carries that knowledge to Guatapé.
