Elkin
Elkin is from the Sikuani people, whose territory spans the Colombian Llanos and reaches into the Amazon basin. He is a teacher, someone who has worked directly inside Indigenous communities, bringing education to Nukak Baka and Jiw families, two of the most vulnerable groups in the region.
That work shapes how he represents the Amazon. Elkin moves between worlds: the community and the classroom, the forest and the city, and he carries the weight of both honestly. At Dulce Amazónica, he speaks not only for the Sikuani but for what it takes to keep a culture standing under pressure.

The Sikuani, also known as Guahibo, are an Indigenous people of the Colombian and Venezuelan Llanos, with deep ties to the Orinoquía and the Amazon. They are known for their resilience: across centuries of pressure and displacement they have held onto their language, their traditions, and their community structures. Elkin carries that resilience, and shares it.
