Esteban
Esteban is a Wacara ambassador at Dulce Amazónica. He comes from the Wacara community of the Colombian Amazon, and during his time in Guatapé he represents his people directly: their foods, their crafts, and the knowledge the Wacara carry.
Like every ambassador at the Embassy, Esteban is here to be met in person. Visitors do not learn about the Wacara through a display. They meet a member of the community, hear from him directly, and the support they give goes back to where he comes from.

The Wacara Community
The Wacara are an Indigenous community of the Colombian Amazon with a deep relationship to the river and forest ecosystems that shape life in the region. Their knowledge of plants, foods, and craft is passed person to person, generation to generation, not written down but lived. Esteban carries that knowledge to Guatapé.
