Kuni
Kuni comes from the Nukak Baka, one of the last semi-nomadic peoples of the Colombian Amazon. His Nukak name, Niijbe Chakunide, belongs to a lineage that has moved through the deep forest for generations, reading the jungle the way others read a map: its plants, its animals, its seasons, the signs that tell you where to go and when.
At Dulce Amazónica, Kuni brings that presence to Guatapé. He prepares traditional foods, shares artesanías made by his community, and represents a people whose relationship with the forest is not visited but lived. For visitors, he is often the first Nukak person they have ever met, and the closest they will come to a world that still exists only a few hundred kilometres away.

The Nukak Baka
The Nukak Baka are among the last semi-nomadic peoples of the Colombian Amazon. Their knowledge of the forest, built over generations of living inside it, is some of the deepest held by any community in the country. That knowledge is also under pressure, which is part of why their presence at the Embassy matters: it is carried by the people who hold it, in their own voice.
